Women In Climate: Launching the Pacific Women Climate Leaders Program
CWR’s Debra Tan will be speaking on a panel “Women In Climate: Launching the Pacific Women Climate Leaders Program” organised by Pacific Climate Dialogue in collaboration with California-China Climate Institute and Women Green the Way.
Alongside the 2nd Hong Kong Climate Forum, the Women In Climate event is brought by Pacific Climate Dialogue in collaboration with California-China Climate Institute (CCCI) and Women Green the Way (WGTW) to advance women leadership in climate change in the Pacific Rim.
This initiative aims to elevate women’s leadership in addressing the climate crisis across the Pacific Rim by empowering professionals from public and private sectors to take on greater roles in climate action. It also seeks to inspire young women to pursue careers in climate-related fields, fostering intergenerational collaboration and innovation.
A series of events will follow the launch, including climate dialogues in China and the U.S. later in 2025, participation in New York Climate Week this September, and a dedicated side event at COP30 in 2025. These activities will emphasize cross-border partnerships and inclusive strategies to advance equitable climate solutions.
For this launch event, we are excited to host a panel with thought leaders, who will provide insights on women’s role in climate actions. The panel will be moderated by Apple Ho Chui Ping, Advisor, Financial Secretary’s Private Office and the panellist include:
Fan Dai, Founder, Pacific Climate Dialogue
