Theme: Future of Water in Europe: Local, regional and global best practice

The Water Efficiency Network is an initiative to take an interdisciplinary approach to resolve the issues of unsustainable water consumption in the urban setting. It aims to facilitate the flow of knowledge between academia, policy makers and regulator, third sector organisations and the building and water industries. WatefCon is a vital part of sharing this knowledge, by hosting a diverse group of stakeholders on topics such as water efficiency labelling and smart water grids.

Keynote speakers at this bi-annual event will include Carlos Borrego, Professor of Environmental Engineering at the University of Aveiro and additional professionals with a wealth of experience in the academic study of water management. Besides academic speakers, representatives from the water industry will also be present to exhibit their products and discuss technological developments.
